False Spring and the Return of Linen

Our take

As we welcome the first hints of spring, it’s time to shed the heavy winter coats and embrace a fresh, relaxed aesthetic. Inspired by Velasca’s soft tailoring, this outfit harmoniously balances intention and ease. The pleated trousers and tucked shirt provide a clean foundation, while the open linen collar and rolled sleeves infuse a sense of effortless style. Muted tones of browns, taupe, and charcoal allow the luxurious textures of airy linen and smooth drape to shine.

False Spring and the Return of Linen

First taste of spring weather means dropping the heavy winter coats. The goal today was soft, Velasca-inspired tailoring/combo that is intentional but completely relaxed. The pleated trousers and tucked shirt give the outfit a clean foundation, while the open linen collar and rolled sleeves kill any stiff vibes that might intrude on the ‘sprezz’. I kept the colors quiet (browns, taupe, charcoal) and let the materials do the work. It’s a texture-first outfit: airy linen against the smooth drape of the trousers, topped with matte brown suede.

The silhouette really pulls it together (as with most of my fits);the higher-rise trousers lengthen the leg, and the cropped jacket hits right at the waist to reinforce that line. Perfect for a night of drinks and dancing 🕺
