With autumn starting to make its presence felt but rumours of another heatwave still coming, we have found ourselves well and truly in the thick of the transitional "in-between". Too warm for cosy knits and coats, too cold for linen and tank tops, this is the point in the season when we're at our busiest—searching for practical outfit inspiration, compiling runway reports during fashion month, and gearing up for Christmas shopping (too early for the "C" word?). But one topic that has been taking up the most space in our editor's group chat is Réalisation.
Getting a balanced, transitional outfit right is a fine art, and dresses have been ticking the most boxes. Light, and airy when you need them to be, layering foundations when the weather turns cooler, there's nothing a good dress can't do; and according to social media right now, there is no one doing dresses better than Réalisation.
You will all remember the breakout success that was the Gia—first dominating our feeds in the fierce animal print, then came the ubiquitous romantic floral motifs. In only a few short years Réalisation's figure-skimming, elegant dresses have gone from under-the-radar finds to global recognition, putting the brand on the map (and a brand new flagship in Mount Street, London). After the latest drop, the rainbow striped Cora was just as huge, we decided we had to try the dresses for ourselves to see just how one brand could rack up so many hashtag mentions. The Cora Dress - Mirage
Style Notes: You couldn't do a Réalisation try on without experiencing at least one of the viral hits for yourself, and after seeing the mirage Cora in my explore page, in the street, and on my fellow editors, I knew I had to try it for myself. Did I think I would love a rainbow striped dress? No. Has my mind been sufficiently changed? Yes.
Once again, the popularity of this dress comes down to the feel, and as the rest of the team have noted, the cut and seam placement on Réalisation dresses are what make them feel so flattering. Any size, shape, cup size or height can still see a balanced, hourglass shape from the clever tailoring, and the vibrant print on the Cora in particular stops it from feeling too sheer. This was undoubtedly crown "dress of the summer" for very good reason, but I could easily see it styled up for autumn too, just add a gold sandal and a faux fur maxi coat.

The Echo Dress
"As a fashion editor and a card carrying member of Gen Z, I have a soft spot for anything micro-mini that manages to feel both nostalgic and fresh. So, naturally, The Echo Dress in Prairie Noir instantly caught my eye. The kind of dress you can slip on and go, its triangle halter neck and low, scooped back give it that signature carefree, slightly undone ‘sexiness’ that Réalisation Par does oh so well. Decorated in ditsy florals, the cream-and-black colour keeps its almost-classic mood, whilst the playful print gives it just enough of a flirtatious twist.
