Classic leather bags vs trend bags

I have been trying to be more intentional about buying fewer bags and sticking with ones I know I will carry for years. Lately I keep coming back to classic leather styles like the Dooney Ostrich Twist Strap Hobo because they feel timeless compared to some trend driven brands.

For people who have tried both, do you find yourself reaching for classic styles more over time or do you enjoy rotating through trendier bags?
