Surf instructor Oahu?

Hi, i’m looking for a long-term surf instructor to help me learn how to surf. I’ve taken a class before (I was so bad. I was really bad. ) i’m looking for a long-term instructor that can really help me learn safety and surf-culture/respect. I know there are rules to being a respectful surfer. Also, if anyone has any advice on what kind of budget I should be aiming for that would be great too. I don’t know if there’s a difference between long-term instructors or the tourist instructors.
