Natural fiber formal ware suggestions
I bought an item on Anthropologie for an upcoming wedding. The web description of the product clearly states that it is 100% cotton and 100% ramie (a natural fiber similar to content). The dress came in rush delivery for an upcoming wedding. But the tag on clearly says that the lining is 100% cotton and the shell is 81% lyocell and 19% polyester. I do not like how I paid $220 for a dress that's mostly synthetic and made of plastic.
Probably like others in this sub I don't like to wear plastic. I have somewhat sensitive skin. I can't sweat properly in plastic. And of course I like to lower my contribution to our giant piles of plastic waste and the micro plastics that are going to fill my kids brains. I feel perfectly comfortable in cotton, linen, and silk, even more if my item is a hand me down.
Im mostly posting to rant but also somewhat asking for natural fiber brands. I really like Muji but the styles are sometimes too big for me. I usually do Hanes for undergarments. I'm happy to hear about more options. Also options for more fancy wear. I will not turn my nose to buying one $800 silk dress and wear it to weddings for the next 10 years.
Thank you!
