ISO itinerary and transport advice for a trip to Croatia

Hi all! I am based in the US and have always wanted to go to Croatia. I’ve decided to celebrate my 30th birthday there. I plan to go for a week.

I’m very into nature and would like to see a lot of scenery that could be done in day trips, I won’t be able to do any extensive hikes or backpacking.

I don’t have a lot of disposable income so I am looking for advice on how to get there and explore as budget consciously as possible. I have a few months to save and am ok with going during the off season but preferably no later than autumn.

Any suggestions would be very helpful!
