Influence me- Dyson Airwrap

Hello! Considering a splurge on a Dyson Airwrap. Curious about your thoughts on if it's worth it, which model and why?

40/f and fairly low maintenance, always had good hair but no real blow drying skills and it's been feeling damaged/dry. Particularly some fried looking baby hairs at my temples. I have been using a Drybar round brush hairdryer which I think is pretty damaging. Straight thick hair with a bit of a wave to it, armpit length and color treated.

I don't see myself using all the attachments of the newest model Coanda2x (just the curling blowout look and the smoother along with hairdryer) but the idea of the 2x speed is tempting to splurge extra on the newest option. It seems big to travel with the case but supposed to be lightweight. Do I go for it, with any coupon code I might be able to find? How about a refurbished ID model from the Dyson site? Or the original basic one? How to get the best deal and know it will last? Or tell me if it is a huge waste of money!
