Co2 Laser for Full-Thickness Lip Scar - Pic Included

Any thoughts/expertise/experience on the efficacy of CO2 lasers in terms of removing/drastically reducing scars? I had an 18 year old scar from a dog bite that has bugged me for years. I've tried the skin pen and the erbium laser, neither of which made a difference. I feel like as I age, the line is deepening which is making it more noticeable. Pic for reference - don't mind my peach fuzz stache.
